Care

Candle Care:

Before you light:

· Trim the wick – Before lighting, trim the wick to about ¼ inch to ensure a clean, even burn and prevent excessive soot.

· Find a safe spot – Place the candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts, children, pets and anything flammable like curtains or paper.

During the burn:

· Allow a full melt pool – On the first burn, let the wax melt all the way to the edges of the container to prevent tunnelling.

· Avoid draughts – Keep the candle away from air currents and vents to prevent flickering and uneven burning.

· Don’t burn for too long – Avoid burning a candle for more than 4 hours at a time to prevent the wick from mushrooming.

· Burn within sight – Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Extinguishing and After:

· It is recommended that you use a snuffer to extinguish a candle instead of blowing it out. This prevents smoke and hot wax splashes.

· Let it cool completely. Never move a candle while the wax is still liquid. Wait for the wax to cool and solidify completely before handling.
